Quest as per subject. The monster arena seems to nearly always turn into a gang up on the monster with the best odds unless, of course, I bet.

casino dragon quest 4

I've already managed to swipe a Happy Hat with Taloon. I may need to grind higher than level 40 for it. It wasn't too fun, either, but I just gained enough for my falcon sword and meteorite armband. THAT is where I had to grind for more tokens to get the falcon sword. If it wasn't for Alena's critical hits this would be a slow process. Speaking of fleeing, on my last game I made sure there were 0 Wipe Outs and 0 Flees on my record just to see if I would get a certain title in my Battle Records at the end of the game. If she kills herself, the wagon members will hop out anyway so no game over. I literally just turned my DS on and decided to give that guide a try. Even though he wiped out my party in that battle you're not supposed to win, the game didn't count it as a wipe out but I obviously didn't get the victory. Glad you enjoyed the game and got through it all in one piece. Are there any other scenarios in the game where you need more than just the Hero to get through? Also what is hero using? Thank goodness for the charts or else that would be a little crazy to try to read through. I noticed that I had 1, Victories and 1, Battles, so I was wondering if there's any way to actually defeat the Marquis of Keeleon in Chapter 4? Also, I forgot about the demon spear for ragnar. I guess if all else fails I can wait until my Immigrant Town has a Casino and try my odds there. If disliking this, Borya with poison needle is not a bad choice. Haha, I made an accidental pun in that. Very interesting. I can't seem to find a difinitive answer to this. Only won by two lucky crits in the fight against him. Otherwise, replace him with a poison needle user. You can shover partymates in wagon once you get it but they still get exp at times in the wagon. Where is the best place to level grind at the end of the game? I recently had to grind tokens for my solo quest journey. Might be a fun Frustrating challenge.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} He regenerates 50 hp each turn, which was hard for me to compete with. I'll try using the Poison Needles as well I always seem to forget those. Although can be seldom at times, Metal kings and babbles show up there, including one ideal set of monsters of 1 metal king, 3 betal babbles, and 4 plains slimes. As far as those Mini Medals I was asking about, I find it a little surprising that they would leave an odd number of Mini Medals in the game; it makes the player think they missed one or two. Everythign else was moderately easy. I do try to keep all the characters at a lower level though to show I didn't use them too much. I generally didn't flee unless I was pretty much screwed or HAD to have characters along at the time. I don't find the metal king sword that useful for metal hutning to be honest As for ragnar, i think you better equip him with demon spear, it boosts the critical hit rate a bit if i remember correctly. Very nice. Nah, that's the only one you are required to bring anyone I didnt feel like dropping her off in the wagon just to reclimb it for the Zenithian Sword which was on that same floor she was. Then switch out everyone so Meena can start using her silver tarot cards to try and get the Star card, which doubles gold and exp of the battle. Hardest boss besides Psaro was Baalzack. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}I tried playing the slots for a while but they don't seem to be as graciously giving as the machines in DQVII. First of all, I wasn't aware that the Sands of Time could be used over and over again; I thought it was a one-time use. A very viable metal killign weapon, works as similar as poison needles. I'm pretty much set on equipment for each of my characters, but I'm not sure what to do with the Metal King Sword. I've started grinding in that spot and it seems to be working really well. I've been replaying it in different challenges lately, so been surprisingly focused on some details. Seems you still have to kill off the other members much like a DW7 solo game. In the "symbol of faith" cave, I repel monsters until I get to the cave since I'm required to have 2 living people to get through it. As far as I'm aware, that's all of them. Thanks for the advice and that link, Ruesen. Maybe it was just luck, but I won 16, Tokens my first try betting in the Monster Arena basing all my decisions off of those win percentages. That is correct; play the first chapters as normal until Chapter 5. Here's a guide I found on gamefaqs; it was originally in japanese so google translated it, thus the weird wordings and different monster names. Once I get to chapter 5 and start recruiting new members, I kille them off as soon as I'm able. If in Pionira's casino, there are higher bet slot machines or poker tables, they may be better, but otherwise I go with the monster arena. That sounds like an interesting challenge that I might like to try some time. I'm about halfway through the Bonus Dungeon and I'm sure I'll have to level up before the bosses at the end, because the monsters in there are kinda beating up on me. He has hp and regens 50 hp per turn first time you meet him. I fiinally wrapped this game up today after getting all of the Pandemonic equipment, sending Old Man Psaro to my Pioneer Town, and defeating Aamon for the alternate ending. Perhaps I missed one? I found it much easier than the original NES version, but it wasn't too easy to not enjoy. Nice find! The slimes simetimes also run away but at a lesser rate than the metals, so I figure put them to sleep just in case. Is there a way to have your Battles and Victories match by the end of the game? I just ran from battles till I got the sword, then left and discarded her. Oh, and by the way, I was wondering exactly how many Mini Medals are in the game? Or you can find some MKS around azimuth's outside. Switch meena's dead body and kiryle out so kiryl can revive her. Sounds like fun. Once at least metal king is dead all that is left is slimes, i change party up with only people that can cast snooze Meena, Borya, Hero, bonus char or anyone with Lethargy swords and put the slimes to sleep. It gives you an idea of odds and if you can get through the broken english explanations, what to expect in the fights:. Not wanting that to prove I soloed and all , i kill off all main cast party. I feel as though they could have done more with the Bonus Dungeon it was rather short that way you could utilize Psaro for more than just a few optional boss battles at the very end. I'm not sure if that's the best way to get to another k tokens due to getting cut off after winning more than 10k, but it worked decently well for me. Nothing seems to come to mind other than the Faith Cave event. So fleeing from battles is still allowed; that probably makes it a little less frustrating at times. I might have died to Marquis of Keeleon once due to a stupid mistake, but that was it. I figured the game would simply allow you to put only the Hero in your main party once you get the wagon, but I guess not. I'd give ragnar the hela hammer for that instead if you saved it. Best way I had was using the monster arena. Should the Hero equip this simply to get the extra damage point on the metal slimes 2 instead of 1 on a non-crit? Right now, I only have the psaro fight left, but having trouble getting past the firsty form due to its crit and hit doing so much damage. I was going to ask you about that, Ruesen. I heard that unlike the flacon earrings, the falcon sword does less than 1 damage per hit at a base, so for metals it's ALWAYS going to miss or crit. Guest characters i shove in wagon, not needing to kill them off since no exp gained. Yeah, I saved all of the unique and cursed items I found along the way, so I'll swap Ragnar's Falcon Blade with the hammer. You get the last prize at 60, so the rest are a buffer in case you miss the fleeting ones in Pioneer Town. Except for the Pisaro fight, the game has been mostly a breeze, just a little on the long side. After my solo journey is finished, I plan to do my DQ5 challenge runs next. By the very end, I had a total of 69 but that seems off. One spot would be North from "Heaven's Haven" in Nadira, the tower. I figure Metal King Slimes are the best bet but I've only run into a few throughout the whole game. Any great spots? What gives? Since you don't actually control the Hero through the first 4 chapters excluding the prologue , are you just completing the first four chapters like you normally would and then switch to the Hero in Chapter five? Continue this until star card is pulled or the cards end up killing the slimes. I can't imagine actually beating the Marquis of Keeleon the very first time you encounter him. It gives you a whopping exp by defeating one. Also once of the barrier guardians, and ocassionally a random battle wiped me out.
